Racking some pale ale!
My seventh batch of beer is now resting in my glass carboy. Here is a little video showing the racking from the bucket to the carboy. The beer ferments for the first week in the bucket then I transfer to the carboy for about 2 weeks. Some home brewers skip the racking step and go straight from primary fermenter (bucket) to bottles or a keg. I was told you want to get the beer off the dying yeast so I'll stick to racking for now.

I'll be brewing another batch next week and will walk us all step by step over the month and a half it will take to go from day 1 to first bottle.

Good thing you have such a spacious kitchen. That is some big equipment! Very interesting process. I sure wish I liked beer! Well, who knows, maybe I'll like yours!
